Privacy Policy

GetUpizer helps nearby people discover activities, create events and communicate safely. This policy explains what information the service processes and why.
Information we process
- Account data, such as your email address, authentication provider and verification status.
- Profile data you choose to provide, including name, age, gender, photo, interests, city and area.
- Event, participation, neighbour, rating and chat data needed to provide the service.
- Approximate or precise location only when you actively provide it or grant location permission.
- Security and technical records such as IP address, device information, login events and abuse-prevention signals.
Google sign-in
When you choose Google sign-in, GetUpizer requests only your verified email address and basic profile information. We use these details to identify your account and do not request access to Gmail, contacts, files or advertising data.
How we use information
We process information to operate accounts, match relevant people and events, deliver requested notifications, protect users, investigate abuse, maintain reliability and comply with applicable legal obligations. Optional marketing or recommendation messages require your choice and can be disabled.
Sharing
Profile and event information is shown according to your visibility settings and the service’s safety rules. We use infrastructure, email, storage, mapping and authentication providers as processors where necessary. We do not sell personal information.
Retention and security
Information is retained only while needed for the service, safety, dispute handling and legal requirements. Access controls, encryption in transit, restricted administration, backups, rate limits and audit records are used to reduce risk. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You can update profile and notification settings, export account data and request account deletion from the privacy section of your profile. You may also revoke Google access through your Google Account. Some safety or legal records may be retained for a limited period when required.
Children and personal safety
The beta is not intended for children. We use age and verification controls, moderation, reporting and participation approvals, but users must still avoid sharing sensitive information, meet in public places and report suspicious behaviour.
